Two colors, two sizes

Owala FreeSip in Magic Purple and CorollaChoose the color, then 24 oz or 32 oz. Both stand at nearly the same height.

The Owala FreeSip is a triple-layer, vacuum-insulated stainless steel water bottle with a two-way lid: sip upright through the built-in straw, or tilt it back and swig from the spout. This listing carries the purple Owala in Magic Purple, plus Corolla, each in 24 oz (710 ml) or 32 oz (945 ml). It keeps cold drinks cold for up to 24 hours, through a school day, a shift or a long drive.

The real decision

24 oz or 32 oz comes down to width

24oz710 ml

The narrow one

Slimmer in the hand and in a cup holder, and the easier fit for a backpack side pocket.

Height10.68 in, 27.1 cm

Width3.12 in, 7.9 cm

32oz945 ml

The fewer-refills one

A third more water at the same height, for long shifts and hot days far from a fountain.

Height10.66 in, 27.1 cm

Width3.43 in, 8.7 cm

Height is not what separates them. Owala lists both at about 10.7 in, and the extra water in the 32 oz goes into the width. So the thing to check is the cup holder in your car, not your bag. Measure across the top of the holder before you pick the 32 oz.

Pick a colorway

Magic Purple or Corolla

Magic Purple

The purple Owala on this page, sold in 24oz and 32oz. Select it and the gallery switches to its photo, so you see the shade before you pay.

Corolla

The second colorway, in both sizes. Same steel body and FreeSip lid; only the color changes.

Prefer a dark red? The Owala FreeSip in Black Cherry comes in the same two sizes.

Cold drinks only. Owala says the stainless steel FreeSip is not for hot, carbonated or perishable liquids. The straw draws from the bottom of the bottle, where a hot drink stays hottest, so coffee and tea belong in a mug.

Questions buyers ask

Answered plainly

Is the 32 oz Owala taller than the 24 oz?

No. Owala lists the 24 oz at 10.68 in and the 32 oz at 10.66 in. The bigger bottle is wider instead, 3.43 in against 3.12 in, and that is where the extra water sits.

Does the 32 oz fit a car cup holder?

It depends on the car, because the 32 oz measures 3.43 in (8.7 cm) across. Measure the top of your cup holder. If it is tight, the 24 oz at 3.12 in (7.9 cm) is the safer pick.

Can the Owala go in the dishwasher?

The lid and straw can. Owala rates the lids top-rack safe and puts the straws in the silverware basket. The cup can technically go in too, but Owala strongly recommends washing it by hand to keep the finish looking new.

Can I add ice?

Yes. Take the lid off and the wide opening takes ice cubes, and a sponge when it is time to clean.
