Wendougee DATA-S dual boiler espresso machineBrew and steam at once, shape the shot from an app, run it from the tank or a water line.
The DATA-S is a home dual boiler espresso machine with a 1.8 L (61 oz) steam boiler, a 0.8 L (27 oz) brew boiler feeding a saturated group head, and a quiet gear pump you steer through Wendougee's E-Bar app for pressure or flow profiling. It is built for the home barista who wants café milk drinks and control over every shot, and it needs 49 cm (19.25 in) of counter depth.
- 1.8 L steam, 0.8 L brew
- Gear pump with profiling
- Tank or plumbed-in
- Black, white or gray
Tank only, or tank plus a water line
Every version is the same DATA-S. You are choosing how water gets in, then a color.
Fill it by hand
The 1.5 L (51 oz) reservoir feeds both boilers. Nothing to install: set it down, fill the tank, switch on. The right pick when there is no water line near the spot you have in mind.
Connect it to a line
Adds the direct water connection, so the machine draws from your supply and you stop refilling. The tank still works when the line is off. If the counter has no line nearby, plan the plumbing before you order.
Why the gear pump is the reason to buy it
A gear pump is quieter than the vibratory pump found in most home machines, and it can change how much water it moves while the shot is running. That is what makes profiling work on the DATA-S: you decide the pressure or the flow at each stage, and the pump follows the curve.
In the E-Bar app each profile runs in one mode, pressure or flow. Pre-infusion wets the puck gently before full pressure, and both boiler temperatures are held by PID at the values you set in the app.
-
Wet the puck
Soft pre-infusion saturates the coffee before the pump ramps.
-
Hold or ramp
Set a peak pressure, or set a flow and let pressure follow it.
-
Ease off
Taper toward the end so a light roast finishes sweet, not harsh.
Measure before it arrives

A fair read
This one is for you if
- You make milk drinks most days and want to steam while the shot pulls.
- You want to shape pressure or flow during the shot, not only set a temperature.
- You can give it 49 cm of counter depth and, if you like, a water line.
Look elsewhere if
- You want a smaller dual boiler with a simpler single pump. The Wendougee LITA-BR takes less counter.
- You are fitting out a café bar. Start with the MECHA single group, or the SDRAGON-SAT when you need two groups.
Straight answers
DATA-S or DATA H, which one is this?
This listing is the DATA-S, the gear pump model. Wendougee also builds the DATA with an electromagnetic vibratory pump, sold as the DATA H, and that version is not offered here. The six choices in the selector differ only in water setup and color.
Is a dual boiler worth it at home?
Yes, if you make milk drinks. The brew boiler keeps the saturated group at your set temperature while the steam boiler holds steam pressure, so you steam a pitcher during the shot instead of after it. If you only drink straight espresso, a single boiler machine covers you.
Do I need a tablet?
Only for profiling. The E-Bar app, where you build pressure and flow curves and set both boiler temperatures, runs on a tablet or a phone you already own. No version comes with a tablet. Everyday shots run from the machine itself, with its OLED display and shot timer.
How loud is the gear pump?
Quiet. A gear pump turns smoothly instead of pulsing, and owners on coffee forums describe the DATA as whisper quiet. On most mornings your grinder will be the loudest thing on the counter.
