Chako Lab BaoBao insulated food jar, 450 mlOatmeal, yogurt or soup, with the spoon stored in the lid.
The Chako Lab BaoBao cup is a 450 ml (15 oz) insulated food jar with a 316 stainless steel inner wall, a 304 stainless steel body and a spoon that lives in the lid. Chako Lab says it works hot or cold and keeps food warm for more than six hours, so hot oatmeal, soup, yogurt or overnight oats go from your kitchen to a desk or a classroom. Four food-named prints, each with or without a strap.
- 450 ml, about 15 oz
- Hot or cold, warm 6+ hours
- 316 steel inside
- Spoon in the lid
What the BaoBao holds
A food jar is short and wide so you can eat straight from it, and the spoon clicks away in the lid until you need it. The lid and spoon are BPA-free food-contact PP, a silicone ring seals the lid, and a rubber base keeps it from sliding on a desk.
Warm it first
For hot oatmeal or soup, fill the jar with boiling water for a few minutes, pour it out, then add the food. For yogurt or overnight oats, chill the jar first.

The details
Answered plainly
How long does it keep oatmeal warm?
Chako Lab says more than six hours, enough for breakfast packed at home and eaten at your desk or in class. Preheat it and fill it to the top; a full jar holds heat longer.
Can I put it in the microwave?
No. It is stainless steel, and stockists list it as not for the microwave, oven or dishwasher. Heat food separately and wash the jar by hand.
Will it leak in my bag?
Chako Lab describes a 360° leak-proof design with a silicone sealing ring. Close the lid firmly, and keep the ring clean so it seals every time.
Can I drink from it?
You can. Stockists suggest it for coffee or a smoothie too, but it is shaped for eating with a spoon. For drinks, the Chako Lab Bobo 485 ml straw cup is the matching cup.
