What the capsule system gives you
Consistency
Every Nespresso capsule is sealed at the factory with a measured dose and grind. You get the same extraction every time you press the button.
Speed
Insert a capsule, press one button, and the machine handles extraction. No grinding, dosing or tamping between you and the cup.
No mess
Used capsules drop into an internal container. No portafilter to knock out, no grounds on the counter.
Capsule system versus manual espresso
Manual espresso machine
- Grind, dose, tamp and time every shot
- Dialing in takes practice and patience
- More variables, steeper learning curve
- You control the result
Nespresso capsule machine
- Insert capsule, press button, done
- Same result from the first cup
- Faster from counter to cup
- Limited to Nespresso capsule range
A capsule machine trades control for convenience. If you want to experiment with grind, dose and pressure, look at a semi-automatic machine instead.
Platinum body, Swarovski detail
The machine sits on most counters in a compact footprint. Stainless steel body in platinum finish, a side panel embellished with Swarovski crystals, and a fold-out drip tray that adjusts for espresso cups or tall glasses.
This is a holiday collaboration edition. The bundle options include the machine, a selection of Nespresso capsules in seasonal flavors, and gift items: espresso and lungo cups, a storage jar for loose capsules, and a Swarovski crystal capsule pendant. Pick your bundle in the selector above.

From box to first cup
-
Fill and prime
Lift the water tank at the back, fill it to the max line, and slot it back in. Run a full tank through with no capsule to flush the system.
-
Insert a capsule
Lift the lever at the top. The capsule chamber opens. Drop a Nespresso capsule in flat side down, then close the lever until it clicks.
-
Choose your size
Four buttons program espresso, lungo, and two custom sizes. Press once for that size, hold to reprogram it. The machine remembers your settings.
-
Empty the capsule bin
Used capsules collect in an internal container behind the drip tray. The light flashes when it is full. Pull the tray out, tip the bin into your recycling, and slide it back.

The details

Answered plainly
Which Nespresso capsules does this machine take?
Nespresso Original Line capsules only. Those are the smaller aluminum capsules Nespresso launched with, not the larger Vertuo pods. The Original Line includes espresso and lungo sizes.
Can I use third-party capsules?
The machine accepts any capsule that fits the Original Line format. Brands like Lavazza, Illy and Peet's make compatible capsules, though Nespresso recommends their own for best results.
Is a Nespresso machine worth buying?
It depends on what you value. If you want consistent espresso-style coffee with no learning curve and you are comfortable with the capsule cost and format, yes. If you want to control every variable or you drink more than two cups a day, the per-cup cost of capsules makes a manual machine and fresh beans cheaper over time.
How does the nespresso machine compare to a Keurig?
Nespresso extracts at 19 bar, which is high enough for espresso-style crema. Keurig brews at lower pressure and makes drip-style coffee. Nespresso capsules cost more per cup but produce a stronger, richer shot. Keurig has a wider drink range including tea and hot chocolate.
What is included in the bundle?
Every bundle includes the machine and a selection of Nespresso holiday capsules. The option with 15 capsules gives you a starter pack. The options with 3 or 6 boxes add more capsules plus gift items such as espresso cups, a storage jar, and a Swarovski capsule pendant. Exact contents depend on which bundle you pick.
