Empty the machine
Empty the water tank and the drip tray. Take out the water filter if your model has one and the manual says to.

Add one dose
Pour one 100 ml (3.4 fl oz) dose into the tank, then top up with water to the level your manual gives.

Launch the descale program from the buttons or menu and let it run through.

Rinse it through
Rinse the tank, refill with fresh water and run the rinse your machine asks for before brewing again.
