Black puck prep tools for 58mm espressoTamper, dosing ring and needle tool, one piece or a package at a time.
The MUVNA V Series espresso tools set is a black puck prep line built around the 58mm basket, which measures 2.28 in across. You can buy each piece alone or pick one of four packages. It suits home baristas on a 58mm machine who want matching prep tools.
- Sized for 58mm portafilters
- Buy single pieces or a package
- Dosing ring keeps grounds in the basket
- One black finish across every tool
From fresh grounds to a packed puck
-
Ring on
Seat the dosing ring on the basket before grinding. Its 8.2 cm (3.23 in) width catches grounds a bare basket would lose.
-
Stir
Drag the WDT needle tool through the bed to break up clumps from the grinder.
-
Level
Lift off the ring.
-
Tamp
Press straight down with the 58mm tamper so the edge packs as firmly as the center.
-
Park
Rest the tamper on its stand between shots, off the counter.
Add tools in the order you need them
Most home bars already own a tool or two, often a plastic tamper or a scale. Each piece sells alone, so fill the gap first and add the rest later in the same black finish.
Starting from zero? Packages A through D bundle several pieces. Contents differ by package, so check its photo or message us before you order.
A second portafilter
The handle, model BP2761, lets you prep the next shot while the first is still brewing.

Will the MUVNA tamper fit my espresso machine?
It will when your machine takes a 58mm basket. The tamper base and dosing ring share that size and will not suit a smaller basket, so read the stamp on yours first.
Does the spare portafilter fit every 58mm machine?
Not always. Basket size is half the match, since the lugs that lock a handle into a group head vary by machine maker. Send us your model and we will check.
What does an espresso tools set do for my shots?
An espresso tools set covers the prep between grinder and brew, so each puck comes out level and evenly packed. Weigh each dose on a MUVNA solid wood coffee scale to repeat a shot you liked.
Which other MUVNA gear goes with this set?
The precision dosing cup and the Mach M8 manual machine. The cup takes grounds straight from the grinder, and the Mach M8 is built around a 58mm basket.
