Meraki all-in-one espresso machineGrind, weigh, brew and steam from one 37 cm square of counter.
The Meraki is an all-in-one espresso machine: a conical burr grinder developed with Timemore, two built-in scales that weigh the dose and the shot, and dual boilers, 350 ml for brewing and 550 ml for steam, behind a 58mm portafilter with a walnut handle. A rotary pump, PID with a heated group and a circular touchscreen run it, fed by a 2 L (68 oz) tank. Made for home baristas who want cafe espresso and milk drinks without buying and matching a separate grinder. In Black or White.
- Built-in conical grinder
- Scales for dose and shot
- Dual boilers
- Black or White
One machine, or grinder plus machine?
What the all-in-one gives you
- One footprint and one power socket instead of two
- The scale stops the grinder and the shot at the weights you set
- Grounds go from burrs to portafilter with nothing to carry across
- Ready to brew in about 3 to 4 minutes
What you give up
- You cannot swap in a different grinder later without a second machine
- No flow control paddle and no brew pressure readout
- If the machine needs service, grinder and brewer go together
How a latte gets made
-
Beans in the hopper
Whole beans wait in a sealed hopper, away from the heat of the boilers.
-
Grind by weight
Set the dose and the grinder fills the 58mm portafilter, stopping when the scale reaches it.
-
Pull by weight
The second scale under the cup stops the shot at your target yield, so your ratio holds from one morning to the next.
-
Steam
The wand draws from its own boiler and has a temperature sensor, so it can stop the milk at your set temperature.
The numbers behind the shot
A fair read
This one is for you if
- You want lattes and flat whites at home and would rather not research grinders.
- You like the same ratio every morning without a separate scale on the drip tray.
- You have about 37 cm (14.6 in) square of counter and access to the back for the tank.
Look elsewhere if
- You want to profile flow by hand. The Lelit Bianca V3 has a paddle and a group gauge for that.
- You already own a grinder you love and only need the brewer.
The details
Answered plainly
Who makes the Meraki espresso machine?
Meraki, a home espresso brand. The grinder was developed together with Timemore, the grinder maker, and tuned for espresso.
Can I use pre-ground coffee or my own grinder?
Yes. Dose pre-ground coffee into the 58mm basket by hand, skip the built-in grinder and brew as usual. Fresh grinding is the reason the grinder is there, though.
How good is it with milk?
Steam comes from its own 550 ml boiler, so there is no wait after the shot and no loss of brew temperature. The wand's temperature sensor lets it stop at the temperature you set, which keeps milk from scalding.
Black or White, is there any difference?
Only the color. Both have the same grinder, scales, boilers and walnut portafilter handle. Pick the one that suits your kitchen.
