Guaranteed Safe Checkout
Espresso leveler and tamper for home baristasThree-blade, flat or threaded heads in heavy stainless steel, five basket sizes.
Pick one of two jobs here: a three-blade Macaron leveler that evens out loose grounds, or an espresso tamper with a flat or threaded base that compresses them into a firm puck. Every head is heavy 304 stainless steel with an adjustable design, in sizes from 51 mm (2.01 in) to 58.35 mm (2.3 in). It suits home baristas who want a consistent puck in a standard portafilter basket.
- Leveler or tamper, your pick

Pick the head that fits your routine
Three-blade leveler
Set it on the grounds and give it a turn. The blades sweep everything even before you tamp. Black or silver.
Flat tamper
A smooth base presses the leveled grounds into a firm, even puck.
Threaded tamper
A black tamper with a threaded pattern on its base instead of a smooth face.
A tamper does not level and a leveler does not compress, so many setups keep one of each.
Order by basket, not by machine
Measure straight across the inside rim of your basket, or find its size in the manual. A head too wide will not drop in, and one too narrow leaves loose grounds at the edge. For 58 mm (2.28 in) baskets you can pick the 58 mm heads or the wider 58.35 mm (2.3 in) black leveler.

Common questions
Is this an espresso tamper or a leveler?
Both, depending on the option. The three-blade versions level the grounds, and the flat and threaded versions are the espresso tamper that compresses them. You get a single tool per option.
Which size fits my espresso machine?
Pick by basket, not by brand. No machine list comes with this tool, so measure across the inside of your basket and choose the matching head.
Do I also need a WDT needle tool?
Only if your grinder leaves clumps. Needles break them up deeper in the grounds; try the MUVNA WDT needle tool.
Where should the tamper rest between shots?
On a stand that keeps the base clean. The walnut tamper stand is cut for 58 mm (2.28 in) tools.
Is it the right tool for you
A good pick if
- You pull espresso at home and want a more even puck
- You already know your basket size
- You grind fresh and want weight in your hand at the counter
Look elsewhere if
- You want leveler and tamper in one piece
- You need the 54 mm (2.13 in) head for a Platinum 8 series machine, which the listing marks as unsuitable
Match the basket, then level
